Radcliffe was born in Fulham, London, England. He began working in show business at an early age, appearing opposite Geoffrey Rush and Pierce Brosnan in The Tailor of Panama. He was encouraged to audition for the role of Harry Potter by producer David Heyman, who'd met him at a play Dan had attended with his family. The role was his and the rest, as they say is history. Now a young adult, Dan has been trying to stretch his acting talents by taking on very adult roles. He began with the coming of age drama December Boys, wanting to be part of an ensemble rather than the lead. He next took on the London stage by playing the lead role in Equus. In 2008, he will go with the play to New York where it will be performed on Broadway. Radcliffe can next be seen in My Boy Jack, based on Rudyard Kiplng's son.
Rupert was born in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire and has four siblings. Rupert was a fan of the Harry Potter books and sent in an audtion tape that featured him rapping. After completing the first Harry Potter film, Rupert appeared in the comedy Thunderpants. He has since appeared in all of the following Harry Potter films. With his earnings from them, he purchased an ice cream van. Rupert appeared in the 2006 film Driving Lessons, opposite Julie Walters and Laura Linney. The film played at several festivals including Edinburgh and Tribeca.
Emma Watson grew up in Oxford and expressed an interest in acting from an early age. She starred in several school plays and her name was given to casting agents by a teacher. While Daniel and Rupert have expressed interest in projects beyond Harry Potter, Emma remains unsure about her future. While she loves performing, she also wants to pursue an education. Between filming the fifth and sixth Harry Potter films, Emma filmed the BBC film Ballet Shoes.
